Avison Young has added to its New Jersey brokerage team with the hiring of a new associate.
In a news release this week, the real estate services firm announced that Lauren Mattia has joined its capital markets and hospitality brokerage group. She is based in Avison Young’s Iselin office and will also be part of its national Emerging Leaders program.
“We are pleased to welcome Lauren to the Avison Young New Jersey team and excited to support her future professional growth through our company’s outstanding Emerging Leaders mentoring program,” said Jeffrey L. Heller, a principal and the firm’s managing director in New Jersey. “As our offices continue to grow, we’re seeking professionals that share our commitment to outstanding client service and industry leadership.
“Lauren has unlimited professional potential and we’re confident that she will make strong contributions that will further build our client relationships and enhance our reputation as a driving force in the New Jersey real estate market.”
Mattia joins Avison Young with experience in financial planning and analysis after internships with Daiwa Capital Markets America Inc. and Tiffany & Co., where she assisted the tax and accounting departments, the news release said. As part of Avison Young’s Emerging Leaders program, she will be exposed to a group in which select employees are meant to share best practices and support one another in their growth and development at the firm.
Mattia holds a degree in economics from Montclair State University, where she was a member of the Financial Management & Economics Society and served as vice president of operations for the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority, the news release said. She also participated in volunteer work with Relay for Life and the Shore Dreams for Kids Foundation.
