A yoga studio and a learning center are set to open this summer in downtown Nutley, following leases arranged by Cushman & Wakefield.
The firm announced that Good Vibes Yoga & Kombucha Bar and Mathnasium have leased 2,200 and 1,200 square feet, respectively, at 231-237 Franklin Ave. David Townes, a Cushman & Wakefield retail broker based in East Rutherford, orchestrated both leases on behalf of the landlord, a private ownership entity.
Good Vibes is an independently owned hot vinyasa yoga studio and Kombucha bar, according to a news release. Such boutique fitness operators are thriving, such as yoga studios, noting that health-conscious Americans “are looking for local, highly focused concepts that cater to their specific activity interests.”
Mathnasium is a math-only learning center with more than 800 locations worldwide, the news release said. The franchise offers programs and tutoring for elementary, middle and high school levels.
“Downtown retail remains in high demand in our region,” Townes said. “Nutley, in particular, offers strong demographics — the kind that draw national franchises like Mathnasium. In fact, this lease was signed even before the unit at 231-237 Franklin Ave. formally came online.”
