Investment firm Case Real Estate Capital has hired a new financial and investment analyst as it continues to expand its platform.
In the new role, Aysha Cox will work with the firm’s finance and asset management teams in underwriting, valuing, closing and managing its diverse investment portfolio, according to a news release. Prior to joining the Rochelle Park-based firm, she was a supervisor in asset management at Hudson Realty Capital, where she managed portfolio assets consisting of REO and NPL loans throughout the country, evaluated assets and compiled investor reporting.
The addition comes after Case, which was founded in 2013, recently surpassed the $125 million mark in investments, the news release said. The company is active as a high-yield private lender, a financier of transitional properties and a mezzanine and equity investor, while also acting as a purchaser of performing, sub- and nonperforming debt.
To further create opportunities for property owners and developers, the firm is now originating lower-interest loans in the $2 million to $8 million range for properties nearing stabilization. It has typically concentrated on deals in the $2.5 million to $40 million range for transitional properties in the New York metro area, Northeast, mid-Atlantic and South Florida.
“Aysha’s wealth of experience and industry knowledge will make her a key addition to Case,” said Chris Mavros, director, principal and chief financial officer of Case. “We view her appointment and our expansion as a sign of our commitment to further serve both our clients and investors. Our new programs as well as the increasing demand from our clients led us to look for an addition to our team who will fit in with our ethos of innovation and exceptional service.
“We are very pleased that we were able to find someone of Aysha’s caliber to fulfill this role.”
The firm also plans to add another acquisitions officer to its team, the news release said.
Before Hudson Realty, Cox worked as a realtor with Gulf Gateway Realty Inc. in Florida, as a pension accounting administrator with Pension Planners Inc. and as a financial analyst with GATES Capital Group LLC. She earned a degree in finance from Florida Gulf Coast University, where she was a member of the Financial Managers Association and the Undergraduate Business Association.
“I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with Chris Mavros and Sandy Herrick again after many years together at Hudson,” Cox said. “Their expertise and dedication to Case’s growth are inspiring, and I look forward to contributing to the professionalism they have built in the Case team.”
