A chemical distribution firm has relocated within South Plainfield after selling a nearly 108,000-square-foot industrial building in the borough, according to brokers involved the deal.
The company, Brenntag Specialties Inc., sold the property at 1000 Coolidge St. to Technick Products Inc., Atlantic Real Estate Services announced this week. Brenntag has since signed a 16,766-square-foot lease less than two miles away at One Cragwood Road.
Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Brian Dudzinski of Atlantic represented both parties.
“I had been working with Technick for some time to find a building that worked for them,” Dudzinski said. “When I contacted Brenntag, whose building was not on the market for sale, they agreed they would consider selling under the right circumstances. It was great to be able to make a deal that worked out extremely well for both parties.”
Dudzinski, whose firm is based in Bridgewater, said Brenntag Specialties was allowed to remain in the building until it could relocate operations with minimal disruption. He added that the firm had to find a new space for its office needs in order to facilitate the sale.
“Brian did a great job for us both in helping us sell our building and in helping us find and secure our new offices,” said Bill Mello, a manager with Brenntag Specialties. “Brian is a hard worker, knows the market extremely well and has been a pleasure to deal with.”
