PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Porzio recently opened its new 43,000-square-
foot corporate headquarters at 5 Sylvan Way
in Parsippany and did not hesitate to call upon
the skill and expertise of its own real estate
department to help guide the way. Carmen
Andrade, lead transactional attorney in the real
estate department, negotiated the lease and
related agreements for the new office while
co-chairing the committee formed to manage
all aspects of the move. From lease terms and
design details, to overseeing the legal aspects
of decommissioning Porzio’s old space, Car-
men worked tirelessly to secure a deal with
the landlord that was in the best interest of the
firm and a space that would create the best
working environment for the firm’s employees.
Porzio colleague and chair of the firm’s Real
Estate, Land Use and Environmental Group,
Joseph Paparo, also contributed to the reloca-
tion effort by securing the necessary land use
approvals for the building signs promoting the
firm’s new home in Parsippany.
Designed with flexibility, sustainability and
community engagement in mind, the new
space features an open-concept layout, en-
hanced natural lighting, standing desks, EV
chargers, an on-site health center and expand-
ed gathering areas to accommodate firmwide
programming, client events and industry
trainings. In keeping with Porzio’s longstanding
commitment to community partnership, the
headquarters prominently showcases artwork
from The Matheny Arts Access Program and
the move included the recycling and donation
of the firm’s prior office furniture to local non-
profit organizations.
The move reflects the firm’s continued strate-
gic growth and investment in both its people
and the communities it serves, while support-
ing expansion in existing and future markets,
including New York City and Naples, Florida.
This project represents more than a physical
relocation — it marks a significant milestone in
the firm’s broader growth strategy. With more
than 100 attorneys across 10 offices nation-
wide, Porzio continues to expand its platform
through strategic hires and growth in all
practice areas plus continued investment in its
affiliated entities, including Porzio Compliance
Services and Porzio Governmental Affairs. The
new headquarters serves as a central hub for
this next chapter of innovation, collaboration
and client service excellence.
ONE MORE THING
Porzio has evolved into one of New Jer-
sey’s most forward-thinking law firms, with
more than 100 attorneys across 10 offices
nationwide and in Puerto Rico, advising
such clients as high-growth startups to
Fortune 500 companies, through an inte-
grated, full-service platform spanning real
estate, corporate, litigation, employment,
financial restructuring and more.
Collaboration drives everything at Porzio.
Former New Jersey Assignment and Pre-
siding Judges add rare strategic insight,
while our subsidiaries — Porzio Govern-
mental Affairs and Porzio Compliance
Services — extend reach into advocacy,
compliance and risk management.
Entrepreneurial, practical and busi-
ness-minded, Porzio doesn’t just solve
legal problems, it helps clients seize
opportunities and move forward with
confidence.
