Larken Associates has hired Michael Drabnis as its new director of finance.
In announcement, the Branchburg- based developer and commercial
real estate manager said Drabnis brings more than 20 years of public accounting experience to his new role. He joins the firm from Neidich & Co. and will oversee the operations of its accounting department.
Additionally, Drabnis will work closely with the accounting team
and executive leadership to facilitate accurate accounting and reporting, financial analysis, bank reporting and debt service coverage, along with federal, state and local tax filings
and cash flow updates, the firm
said. He will also oversee investor reporting and capital calls, while leading Larken’s accounting team in identifying strategic opportunities to streamline processes and continue to adopt paperless technology.
“With several high-profile development projects underway and a wide range of transactions taking place each day, our finance team is crucial in providing us with the information we need to execute
its service lines to include an environmental solutions practice, hiring Elisa Buckley to lead the division.
Buckley recently joined the Morristown-based construction and project management firm as a managing

“I am extremely excited to join the Walsh Company and work with the already amazing team that Ed Walsh has put together,” Buckley said. “By adding the environmental services component to the team’s existing disciplines and expertise we now have additional opportunities to serve our current and future clients in both simple transactions and more challenging environmental issues on their projects.
“The best part for our clients is that based on the structure of the Walsh Company we can get things done quickly and cost-effectively for them.”
In a news release, the firm touted Buckley’s experience in project management and commercial environmental and ecological investigations. The firm said she
has worked with clients to find environmental solutions when challenges arose in development projects and transactions in settings such as urban downtown buildings, petroleum spill sites, pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities, brownfield development sites and landfills.
Buckley currently serves as board president of Commercial Real Estate Women of New Jersey.
“I am very excited to be working with Elisa and to offer our clients the added service of environmental consulting in addition to all other services Walsh Company currently offers,” said Ed Walsh, founder and president of the Walsh Co. “Elisa is well-known in the environmental industry and is a great asset to the Walsh team.”
Levin Management Corp. has bolstered its team in the region with the addition of Fred Younkin as a leasing representative.
Younkin, who brings 20 years
of industry experience, joins
the North Plainfield-based firm
with an extensive background in representing tenants and a range
of institutional, regional and local business owners. In his new role,
he is responsible for leasing and marketing efforts at nearly a dozen retail properties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
“Levin’s outstanding reputation
and industry success is simply unmatched,” Younkin said in a prepared statement. “This firm’s diverse property portfolio and the opportunity to work alongside a highly accomplished leasing team made joining Levin an easy choice. I am excited to advance my career at this dynamic organization.”
Younkin, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, previously was a tenant
representative at Arrow Real Estate Services, having also held leasing positions at Brixmor Property Group and CBRE/ Fameco.
LMC said the hire comes at a time of increasing
transactional activity and portfolio growth, as the firm now represents 110 properties totaling nearly 15.5 million square feet in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic.
The Cinnaminson resident is an active member of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He’s also the latest in a series of new hires and promotions in recent months, LMC said, following several leasing and management assignments and a level of new lease commitments and renewals year to date.
“While the global pandemic has certainly presented unexpected challenges, we remain focused on growth initiatives that support our current momentum,” said LMC’s Sidney Singer, vice president of leasing. “We are pleased to welcome Fred to Levin Management. said JLL Senior Managing Director Michael
Klein, who leads the debt and equity placement practice in the state. “He has led several large debt and equity transactions in the multifamily space over the past few years, and we are excited to have him continue this momentum here at JLL.”
Prior to entering the debt and equity brokerage space, Didio worked for four years at Freddie Mac Multifamily, where he developed a knowledge
of multifamily housing and agency finance. He also spent four years at a boutique real estate private equity firm in New York.
He is a graduate of Tufts University, where he played varsity football, and is an active member of associations such as the National Multifamily Housing Council, the International Council of Shopping Centers and
the Industrial & Office Real Estate Brokers Association.
JLL noted that he is familiar with JLL’s New Jersey capital markets office, which previously operated as HFF, having interned there when he was a student.
“Many of us first came to know Tom when he interned with us while in college,” Klein said. “He’s grown into an accomplished professional with a strong work ethic. We are thrilled to have him as part of the JLL team.”
