NADELL ELEVATED TO
PARTNER
Real estate and land use attorney
Benjamin A. Nadell has joined the
ranks of partner with Saul Ewing
LLP’s Princeton-based team.
The law fi rm announced the
promotion in mid-March, noting that
Nadell advises clients, particularly
in New Jersey, on legal matters
starting with the preparation of their
site plan application, through the
public approval process and through
resolution compliance and securing
construction permits. He focuses
on zoning and land use approvals,
including redevelopment projects
as well as site plan, subdivision and
variance applications.

Nadell also maintains a public utility
land use practice and assists clients
with securing entitlements pertaining

regularly counsels developers on the
acquisition and disposition of real
property, along with construction
and commercial leasing matters,
while also representing clients in the
formulation of complex easement
agreements, the resolution of
property boundary disputes and
landlord-tenant litigation.
With a juris doctor from Rutgers Law
School, Camden, and a bachelor’s
from Temple University, Nadell is a
former judicial law clerk to Superior
Court Judge Ronald L. Reisner.
During law school, he was an avid
participant in the Rutgers Federal
Prisoner Re-Entry Project, and,
through his current pro bono work,
he continues to represent individuals
with obtaining criminal history
expungements.
LANGE JOINS
HAMPSHIRE AS CFO
The Hampshire Cos. has named
Carolyn Lange as its new chief
fi nancial offi cer, the Morristown-
based real estate investment and
development fi rm announced.
In her new role, Lange is responsible
for the company’s overall fi nancial
management including planning,
strategy, accounting, reporting and
risk assessment, according to a news
release. She comes to the post with
more than 30 years of fi nancial and
asset management experience, most
recently serving as CFO and treasurer
for the Community Foundation of
New Jersey, a nonprofi t committed
to creating and scaling custom
investment and grantmaking solutions
for purpose-driven individuals,
families and businesses.
“It’s an honor to join The Hampshire
Companies and help the fi rm
continue to generate long-term
value for investors and communities
through transformative real estate
investment,” Lange said. “I look
forward to working closely with the

NRP TAPS TRYDER
FOR BUSINESS
DEVELOPMENT ROLE
The NRP Group has made a key
addition to its team in the region,
hiring Matt Tryder to help grow its
third-party construction business
across the Northeast.
Tryder, who brings more than two
decades of experience, joins the
Cleveland-based multifamily builder
as vice president of construction
business development. He’ll be based
in the company’s New York offi ce and
report to Ted Kramer, executive vice

president of construction at NRP.
“Multifamily construction in the
Northeast comes with its own unique
challenges, including limited site
availability and stringent regulatory
requirements that add unique
construction costs,” Tryder said.
“NRP’s deep expertise, national
scale and ability to operate as both
a developer and builder allows us
to anticipate these complexities
and deliver effi cient, cost-effective
solutions that set us apart. I’m excited
to take on this new role and help
drive the continued growth of NRP’s
third-party construction business.”
In a news release, NRP noted that it
has more than 30 years of multifamily
construction experience spanning
affordable, workforce and market-
rate housing communities in major
metropolitan areas. The fi rm has built
more than 60,000 units in 17 states
across the U.S., while it currently
manages some 30,000 residences in
12 states.

His expertise spans everything from
concept budgeting and feasibility
to design coordination, scheduling,
production and dispositions.
NRP noted that Tryder’s
responsibilities include driving new
business opportunities, cultivating
relationships on the ground and
increasing the company’s third-party
footprint in New York and New Jersey
and throughout the Northeast. He will
be responsible for guiding projects
seamlessly from preconstruction to
completion and ensuring long-term
project success.
His work will help expand a platform
that for years has partnered with
the likes of Amazon Housing Equity,
Inland Realty Group, Provident
Realty Advisors, AIG Global Real
Estate, Goldman Sachs and Urban
Atlantic to deliver apartment homes
in major metropolitan areas, the
news release said. As it expands, NRP
said it was leveraging technology to
streamline operations and prioritizing
sustainability to reduce its carbon
