We recently placed insurance coverage for an owner- controlled project for a mixed-use, 60,000-square-foot redevelopment project in Union, New Jersey, which involves unique engineering and construction challenges to add several floors to an already existing structure.
We also placed coverage for an owner/developer of a 500,000-square-foot, $140,000,000 mixed-use development project in Maryland that qualifies as an Opportunity Zone under the laws established by Congress in 2017.

Landlords have instant access — including via mobile devices — to retrieve and monitor compliance with lease insurance requirements.
In addition, we routinely provide assistance with insurance provisions in leases working with our clients’ attorneys to provide strong indemnification terms and conditions.

Our agency strives to inform our clients about evolving exposures to loss and assists them in utilizing the Risk Control and Engineering expertise offered by the carriers we represent, which currently include 1) higher liability judgements, in particular for bodily injury from trip/fall claims, 2) flood losses, which are becoming more common in areas not traditionally subject to flooding (in response, our agency is making use of new technology tools carriers are employing to measure local exposure to flash flooding), and 3) losses due to “Active Assailants” for which unique coverages have recently been introduced in the market
for additional protection for businesses, in particular real estate owners.
