PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Hospital Plaza is a 7-story residential building located in the heart of Paterson, NJ. The building utilizes bearing- wall construction with a reinforced concrete flat-slab construction type at the lower levels. The use of flat slabs at the lower levels allows for minimum floor-to- floor clearance while providing great flexibility for the architectural program and layout. The use of concrete construction also provided great flexibility for all projections and cantilevered balconies past the building façade. The building falls on the lot line on 3 sides and the foundations were designed using a combination of spread footings and mats.
