clients with structuring complex tax-deferred exchanges under IRC Section 1031 (“1031 Exchange”) for all types of investment real estate including multifamily apartment, mixed-use and office buildings and industrial properties.
TRANSACTION SPOTLIGHT
We recently filed and prosecuted a tax appeal on a Country Club property that was resolved for significant tax savings to the taxpayer in addition to creating an opportunity for the taxpayer to sell an adjoining tract of vacant land to the municipality for use as open space. The appeal and transaction greatly benefited the taxpayer and municipality and would likely not have occurred without the appeal and skillful negotiations with the Township.
Our tax appeal attorneys also handled multiple litigation matters on behalf of a large New Jersey hospital system initiated by various municipalities across the State to revoke the tax-exempt status of not-for-profit-owned hospital properties. These cases were complex appeals that drew
on the firm’s vast knowledge of healthcare law and were recently resolved successfully on behalf of our client.
