ON THE HORIZON
2022 was a banner year for MSW. The firm’s transactional practice groups helped clients close over $1,500,000,000
in commercial real estate transactions. The firm, based in Newark, NJ, regularly represents clients throughout New Jersey and New York and throughout the United States. While we will continue to deepen our presence in the New Jersey and New York markets, we anticipate that our national transactional practice will continue to expand in 2023 as more of our clients explore markets outside of the New York metropolitan area.
TRANSACTION SPOTLIGHT
MSW recently represented the buyer/borrower in connection with a $113,000,000 acquisition and constriction loan for an office portfolio in Newark, a project which won the NAIOP Mixed-Use Deal of the Year in 2022. The firm’s Acquisition and Sales practice group also recently represented a seller
in connection with the $110,000,000 sale of an industrial building in Warren County, NJ, a private equity fund in connection with a $73,500,000 sale of a 282,869-square-foot industrial warehouse in Jamaica (Queens), NY, and a seller in connection with a $58,125,000 disposition of a 164,000-square- foot office complex in Burlington, MA. The firm’s Real Estate Finance practice group represented a developer/borrower
in connection with a $90,000,000 mortgage and mezzanine construction financing package for the first phase of a major redevelopment project in Morris County, NJ. The firm’s Land Use, Zoning and Redevelopment practice group recently represented an institutional developer in connection with successfully obtaining approvals for a 450,000-square-foot distribution center in North Jersey, and a Washington D.C.- based developer in connection with approvals for a 350-unit mixed-use building in Newark, NJ.
