Hollister Construction Services has again been ranked as a top place to work in New Jersey.
In a news release, the Parsippany-based firm announced it was named one of the 2017 Best Places to Work in New Jersey by the Best Companies Group and NJBIZ. It marks the second time Hollister has earned the distinction.
“As a construction management firm, we know that providing great experiences for our teammates creates a positive work environment built on trusting and relationships, which translates to excellent client service,” Christine Sutton, vice president of HR at Hollister, said in a prepared statement. “We are driven by our values which are the foundation of any relationship.”
The firm employs more than 130 people, offering everything from educational seminars to friendly sport challenges and philanthropic work. Led by CEO Chris Johnson, the company said the offerings allow its team to cultivate collaboration, build morale, give back to the community and share knowledge.
Hollister cited examples such as a workshop led by Mo Fathelbab, the author of “Forum: The Secret Advantage of Professional Leaders,” which was meant to establish trust and allow team members to get to know one another through Q&A sessions. The firm also pointed to its new teammate dinner held twice a year, which allows its newest hires to spend time with one another and company leaders.
The most recent dinner, held in April, included 22 new teammates and was held at the historic Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen in Morristown.
The firm is also involved in several community events and organizations, including the Community Food Bank of New Jersey, the iCare Foundation for Children, Friday Jeans for Charity and summer and fall Harvest Family Picnics.
