Kushner Real Estate Group has started renovations at a 140,000-square-foot office building in Bridgewater, with a focus on adding new amenities and collaborative spaces to the property.
Brokers with Cushman & Wakefield announced the start of the project at 685 Route 202/206 as part of their leasing efforts. The improvements include a reconfiguration with multiple seating areas in the building’s three-story, sky-lit atrium lobby, plus the addition of a tenant lounge within the cafeteria to accommodate small-group activities.
The new lounge will complement an existing shared conference facility at the property, C&W said. KRE Group, which is headquartered about 10 minutes away, is also installing new outdoor seating to encourage open-air meetings.
The upgrades follow C&W’s recent appointment as leasing agent for 685 Route 202/206. William O’Keefe, Raymond Trevisan, Charles Parmelli and Jackie Madden are heading the team out of the firm’s Morristown office and are marketing up to 85,000 square feet.
“KRE Group, itself, is based in Bridgewater and has a long history of involvement and a deep portfolio concentration in the local market,” O’Keefe said. “Its principals understand regional dynamics and what today’s tenants want, and they know what it takes to modernize a property to maintain its competitive appeal.
“This improvement project speaks to that knowledge and KRE’s commitment to 685 Route 202/206.”
C&W touted the building’s easy access to interstates 287 and 78 and Route 22, along with its proximity to recreation, hospitality and retail offerings in the area. The building is also five minutes from the Bridgewater Commons Mall.
