A newly opened, luxury condominium building in Cliffside Park has added a mass transit option to its list of amenities.
Developer DMG Investments announced recently that NY Waterway will now offer free shuttle service between the 204-unit building, One Park, and the ferry operator’s main terminal at Port Imperial in Weehawken. The move results from an agreement between DMG and NY Waterway, coinciding with the arrival of the first residents at the 14-story building at 320 Adolphus Ave.
As a result, commuters who live at One Park will now have a link to ferry service across the Hudson River, via an eight-minute trip to the West 39th Street Terminal in Midtown Manhattan or a 20-minute trip to the Wall Street and Brookfield Place terminals downtown . Multiple buses will operate on the route during morning and evening rush hours.
“We couldn’t be more excited to join with NY Waterway and introduce the expanded bus route which will pay great dividends to not only residents of One Park, but the entire Cliffside Park community,” said Jacky He, executive vice president of DMG Investments. “This public service will unlock yet another commuter option by providing a worry-free trip to the New York Waterway ferry terminal, the most reliable Hudson River crossing and quickest access point to Manhattan.”
One Park is just three miles from the Weehawken ferry terminal.
“We commend DMG Investments for recognizing that reliable transportation is a critical part of any living experience,” NY Waterway President and Founder Arthur E. Imperatore said. “For almost 32 years, we have worked to make life better for our customers and we are proud to partner with DMG Investments as we continue this tradition.”
The agreement comes a month after DMG debuted the condo project, which sits atop a cliff above the Hudson River. Residents at the development benefit from dramatic views and some 25,000 square feet of high-end amenities.
“I am delighted that Cliffside Park residents will now have direct access to NY Waterway’s Weehawken terminal,” Cliffside Park Mayor Thomas Calabrese said. “The new bus service will enable Cliffside Park residents who work in New York to have a quicker, more cost effective commute. I want to thank New York Waterway for helping to facilitate this new service.”
