A property owner is expanding its renewable energy platform in the region with the addition of rooftop solar panels at two Mount Laurel office buildings.

Nessel Development, along with a locally based subsidiary known as Nessel Energy, said construction is now underway at 300 and 350 Fellowship Road in Mount Laurel. The installations are slated to be complete by year-end, resulting in systems of 130 and 425 kilowatts, respectively, which will generate a combined 740,000 kilowatt hours of clean energy annually.

“This is one of several new projects we have in the pipeline,” said Thomas Loredo, Nessel Energy’s managing director. “We understand both markets and as such provide solutions that create value for all parties as solar energy is about more than cost efficiencies.”

Based in Dallas, Nessel Development acquired 300 and 350 Fellowship Road last year as part of a four-building, 234,563-square-foot transaction. The addition of solar panels will both decrease operating expenses and advance its environmental, social and governance goals — reflecting benefits that it also pitches to third-party clients of Nessel Energy.

“What better way to show our own commitment to ESG goals than to install solar on rooftops at Fellowship Corporate Center,” said Ari Nessel, principal of Nessel Development. “It is something we’ve had our sights on since acquiring the site nearly 18 months ago.”
