Hornrock Properties has taken the wraps off a new courtyard and rooftop deck at its newly opened, 221-unit luxury apartment building in downtown Hackensack.

According to the developer, the spaces are among several outdoor amenities now open at 1 Park Ave. after the recent launch of leasing at what’s known as Ivy and Green. The courtyard and rooftop area span 14,000 and 8,000 square feet, respectively, offering residents a high-end pool and areas for grilling, dining and lounging as well as views of Foschini Park, the Hackensack River and the Manhattan skyline.

Outside leisure activities in the spaces include ping pong, foosball, life-sized chess and an outdoor movie screen and viewing lawn.

“We carefully thought out and designed Ivy and Green’s suite of amenities to provide residents with a harmonious living environment that encourages a balanced lifestyle,” said David Hornblass, a Hornrock principal. “This incudes seamlessly integrating indoor-outdoor living experiences that allow residents to connect, socialize, unwind and rejuvenate.”

Designed by Minno & Wasko Architects and Planners, Ivy and Green is a collection of upscale studio, one-bedroom and two-bedroom homes, some of which offer balconies or terraces to extend the living space outdoors, according to a news release. Indoor amenities include co-working spaces, private conference rooms and work pods, library nooks and a billiards lounge with arcade games, along with a modern fitness center with Echelon bikes and gym studio with on demand fitness and a Crossfit rig.

Hornrock and GTIS Partners marked the opening of the six-story building last month, while also touting a groundbreaking for a 168-unit second phase at the site. Monthly rents start from the $2,500s, with grand opening incentives that include up to two months free and homes available for immediate occupancy.
