Diversified Properties has acquired nearly 10 acres in Morris County where it now plans to build 32 new apartments as the first piece of a multiphase redevelopment.
Located just off Route 15, the parcels on Hellers Lane in Jefferson total 9.84 acres adjacent to a recently constructed QuickChek, according to a news release. Diversified, which is based in Montville, said the first phase of its Jefferson Place project will include an elevator-served building with a mix of one- and two-bedroom rentals ranging from 855 to 1,216 square feet, with built-in den spaces.
Meantime, its plans call for amenities such as an indoor fitness center, an outdoor lounge and grilling areas, private garages and individual storage units available for residents.
“Our multifamily strategy has always been built around finding hidden opportunities in underserved markets like Jefferson,” said Nicholas Minoia, founder and managing principal of Diversified Properties. “With the growing demand for modern residential communities in New Jersey’s western markets, we’re excited to utilize our in-house capabilities to construct a brand-new community that can meet the expectations of today’s residents.”
