An auto repair business is expanding to Paramus after buying a former restaurant property on Route 4, brokers with The Goldstein Group announced Monday.

The 5,000-square-foot building, located at 144 Route 4 West, was the longtime home of the eatery known as Chakra, according to a news release. It’s now owned by the Branning Group Inc., a family-owned and -operated certified repair and collision center with locations in Union City, South Plainfield, Princeton, Freehold and East Brunswick.

The Goldstein Group President Chuck Lanyard and Director Marc Palestina represented the seller, Chakra Realty Group LLC, while Gregory Panayoti of NIA National Realty represented the buyer. Terms were not disclosed.

“Paramus, New Jersey continues to attract retailers, restaurants and auto-related business ventures,” Lanyard said. “We continue to see activity in Paramus as there continues to be strong leasing and sales in the market.”
