A plastic surgery practice is slated to open a new facility in East Hanover after its recent purchase of an 11,000-square-foot retail building in the township.
According to The Blau & Berg Co., which brokered the sale, work is underway to transform the facility at 64 River Road into a medical spa and laser surgical center. Tamara Blau and Brad Jacobs, both senior directors with the real estate firm, represented Tutela Plastic Surgery in its acquisition, while Samuel Bernhaut of CBRE represented the seller.
Blau & Berg added that the client was a referral from Suzanne Emrich, a residential broker at Keller Williams’ Summit office.
“With the volatility in today’s market, we are seeing a subtle shift on the tenant side from those wanting to exclusively lease to those now seeking opportunities to own their own buildings,” Blau said. “This was a case where a prospective buyer wanted his own facility where he could make the necessary improvements to grow his business, and a collaborative effort from all brokers involved made this vision a reality.”
