Terreno Realty Corp. has secured a tenant for a two-acre maintenance and industrial outdoor storage property in Kearny, in a newly announced deal by The Blau & Berg Co.
According to the leasing team, the fully paved site at 286 Central Ave. includes a 16,500-square-foot facility and fencing and lighting around the property. It recently became available when TES Inc., a crane and forklift company, relocated after more than two decades at the site.
Blau & Berg’s Jason Crimmins, Alessandro (Alex) Conte and Peter Murano brokered the transaction with the new tenant, noting that the property will serve as an industrial outdoor storage yard for an intermodal drayage and over-the-road trucking company. The site is just off Route 1&9 and is minutes from the New Jersey Turnpike and other major highways.
“Prior to all the upgrades the landlord completed on their own, we had over a dozen lease proposals,” said Crimmins, Blau & Berg’s president. “The facility checked the boxes for many of the companies in the market, but we are excited for Terreno Realty Corporation to welcome CSI into their portfolio as one of their newest tenants. The ease of access to several major nearby highways was equally significant, as is the dynamic functionality of the site itself, with a large structure suitable for the high volume of intermodal needs and ample on-site parking and storage.”
