Engineering firm Pennoni has promoted Stephen Hoyt to director of its Newark office, placing him at the helm of its growing team in New Jersey.

In his new role, Hoyt will oversee the strategic growth and operational management of a market that also includes an office in East Hanover. That includes driving business development initiatives for the Philadelphia-based civil, municipal and environmental engineering practice, while expanding its client base and enhancing service offerings to ensure continued growth in the vital New Jersey region.

Hoyt, who has spent 12 years with the firm, is also an associate vice president.

“Stephen’s promotion comes at an exciting time as we continue to strengthen our presence in the Northeast,” said Alan Lloyd, regional vice president of northern New Jersey, New York and New England at Pennoni. “Under his guidance, we are confident that the Newark and East Hanover offices will continue to thrive as centers of excellence for engineering solutions that positively impact the communities we serve.”

Pennoni said Hoyt’s promotion reflects his leadership, technical expertise and dedication to fostering client relationships that drive the success of its projects.

“I look forward to leading our talented teams in New Jersey as we continue to build strong client relationships and make a positive impact on the communities we serve,” Hoyt said.
