Mapletree Investments has broken ground on a project that will bring more than 420,000 square feet of new logistics space to Pennsylvania’s Poconos region, adding to its footprint in the area.
The developer said the facility, located at 1180 Corporate Center Drive East in Tobyhanna, will soon rise alongside its existing 1.3 million-square-foot warehouse at 2086 Corporate Center Drive West. It’s now marketing the new property alongside a leasing team led by JLL’s Jeff Lockard, noting recently that it was planning a fall 2026 delivery, seeking to leverage the site’s location near Interstate 380 and easy access to Interstate 80.

Kadean Construction is the general contractor for the planned 420,262-square-foot logistics center, which will have 40-foot clear ceiling heights, 64 dock doors, 64 trailer stalls and 189 parking spaces. Mapletree has also designed the facility to achieve silver certification on the U.S. Green Building Council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design scale.
Mapletree noted that it currently owns and manages some 2.5 million square feet of industrial assets across Pennsylvania, contributing to the group’s broader U.S. logistics portfolio of more than 66 million square feet. Its groundbreaking in Tobyhanna also marks its third in less than a month, following the start of construction on two projects in the Chicago region that will add a combined 461,406 square feet to its portfolio.
