Wingstop is expanding its footprint in Hudson County with a newly completed lease at a Secaucus shopping center, in a deal arranged by RIPCO Real Estate and CBRE.
According to a news release, the fast-growing chain will occupy 1,300 square feet at 101 Plaza Center and is slated to open this spring. The 53,000-square-foot property is now fully leased after expanding its food and beverage offerings with one of the most recognized wing concepts in the country.
RIPCO’s Curtis Nassau represented the landlord in what’s known as The Plaza Center, while Marta Villa of CBRE represented the tenant.
“With the trend for wings expected to continue growing over the next 10 years, we’re pleased to have leased space to Wingstop, the most successful wings brand in America,” said Nassau, an executive vice president with RIPCO. “Wingstop will complement the shopping center’s already diverse food offerings including Wayback Burgers, Plaza Pizza, Mix Platters Halal Boys, Great Wok and Bagel Buffet.”
CVS anchors The Plaza Center’s mix of national and local tenants, which also include T-Mobile, Vito’s Bakery, The UPS Store and Moxie Salon, the news release said. Shoppers and tenants benefit from its convenient access to Route 3 and Paterson Plank Road, while the property serves a densely populated market with more than 250,000 residents living within a three-mile radius.
Founded in 1994 and headquartered in Addison, Texas, Wingstop has grown to more than 3,000 locations globally and is known for its cooked-to-order, hand-sauced chicken wings, tenders and sandwiches, RIPCO said.
