A leading provider of dog daycare, boarding and spa services is coming to a busy retail property in North Brunswick, according to a leasing team with Levin Management Corp.
The operator, Dogtopia, will occupy 5,081 square feet at Brunswick Shopping Center at 498 Milltown Road, providing climate-controlled indoor playrooms where dogs are grouped by size, temperament and play style. It will also offer overnight boarding, spa services and live webcams that allow pet parents to check in throughout the day, supporting a concept built around the principles of safe socialization, exercise and education.
In the process, the business will further expand the offerings at the 288,000-square-foot complex, which is already home to a mix of retail, dining, experiential and service-oriented tenants. And it comes amid 40,459 square feet of new leasing activity over the past three years by Levin Management Corp., the property’s leasing and managing agent, with other recent additions including:
- Ace Pickleball Club (26,319 square feet)
- Dogtopia (5,081 square feet)
- Giri Trading Agency (3,571 square feet)
- Namkeen Hot Chicken Joint (2,795 square feet)
- Tropical Smoothie Café (1,700 square feet)
- Boost Mobile (993 square feet)
Fred Younkin, leasing representative with LMC, represented ownership in the Dogtopia lease. Jonathan Spoerl and Grace Daniels of Metro Commercial Real Estate represented the tenant.
“Dogtopia is an excellent addition to Brunswick Shopping Center because it complements our existing tenant mix while expanding the property’s everyday service offerings,” Younkin said. “Together with our recent leasing activity, this addition reflects the continued strength of Brunswick Shopping Center and our commitment to creating a destination that serves the surrounding community.”
Located just off Route 1, Brunswick Shopping Center is a 288,000-square-foot community destination anchored by Lidl and LA Fitness. The property attracts more than 3 million annual visits, serves a trade area of more than 280,000 residents within a five-mile radius and offers strong visibility and convenient access along one of central New Jersey’s busiest retail corridors.
