Abercrombie & Fitch is coming to Hoboken’s main retail corridor after leasing 5,000 square feet at a prominent corner property downtown.
According to Grid Real Estate, which represented the landlord at 235-237 Washington St., the global apparel retailer will occupy a street-level space at the mixed-use Hoboken House project. The store, which will open below 18 apartments, will help bring new life to the former Arthur’s Steakhouse property at the 3rd Street intersection, while supporting Abercrombie’s plan to expand in key urban markets.
Grid’s Bobby Antonicello Jr. secured the lease, while Hillary Sievers of JLL represented the tenant.
“We are excited to bring Abercrombie & Fitch to the Hoboken community,” Antonicello said. “Hoboken House offers an ideal setting for the brand along busy Washington Street and contributes to the evolving retail landscape of Hoboken, merging historic charm with modern sophistication and amenities.”
