An indoor pickleball franchise has taken 27,000 square feet at Brunswick Shopping Center off Route 1 in North Brunswick, according to a team with Levin Management Corp.
The operator, Ace Pickleball Club, joins the property’s tenant roster as the world’s fastest-growing pickleball franchise, with an open play model aimed at fostering organic connections among players, LMC said. Club locations offer all-inclusive pricing, premium courts and opportunities for members to learn, compete and socialize, while the new Milltown Road facility will host corporate events and parties and house a small pro shop.
LMC Leasing Representative Fred Younkin represented ownership in the 26,500-square-foot commitment, while Marta Villa of CBRE represented the tenant.
“Pickleball has surged in popularity in recent years, appealing to players of all ages and abilities,” Younkin said. “Ace Pickleball Club brings the sport indoors, allowing pickleball enthusiasts to enjoy an unparalleled playing experience 365 days a year. We are very excited to bring this trending concept to Brunswick Shopping Center and the community.”
Tenants at Brunswick Shopping Center include a Lidl supermarket, its anchor, along with LA Fitness, Dollar Tree, Sally Beauty, McDonald’s, Sherwin Williams and a soon-to-open Tropical Smoothie Café. It’s also home to other retailers, restaurants and service providers, serving a growing residential population of more than 280,000 within a five-mile radius and drawing 2.6 million visitors per year, according to real-time traffic data from Placer.ai.
