The Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center in Atlantic City

The Atlantic Builders Convention is coming back to Atlantic City, marking the return of one of the region’s largest events after last year’s statewide shutdown due to the pandemic.
Hosted by the New Jersey Builders Association, the sprawling conference will take place from Oct. 11 to 13 at Harrah’s Waterfront Conference Center. The organization announced Thursday that exhibit space, attendee registration and hotel reservations are now open.
ABC, the largest building industry trade show in the Northeast, typically draws thousands of residential and commercial developers, construction professionals, manufacturers, suppliers and other service providers. The event was last slated for April 2020, but canceled last year as COVID-19 took hold in New Jersey, making it among the first large conferences to be shelved.
“NJBA has been hosting ABC for the better part of a century so there is tremendous enthusiasm from our attendees to return after more than two years since our last show,” said Jeff Kolakowski, the association’s CEO.
This year’s program will mark the 71st Atlantic Builders Convention and is slated to feature nearly 250 exhibits showcasing the latest products and services, along with a variety of educational seminars on market trends, government policies and technical developments in the industry, according to a news release. ABC will also include key events such as:
- The Sales and Marketing Awards on Monday, Oct. 11
- The ABC After Hours Party hosted by the Professional Women in Building and Young Professionals on Tuesday, Oct. 12
- “Housing the State of NJ,” an economic analysis and panel discussion on Wednesday, Oct. 13.
The exhibit floor will be open from 10 AM to 4 PM Oct. 12 and 13, the NJBA said. Attendees will be able to take advantage of discounted lodging at the host hotel, Harrah’s Resort with rates starting at $99.
