A robotics company has leased 8,000 square feet of industrial space in Hillsborough for its first U.S. showroom, in a newly announced deal by Avison Young.
The brokerage team, which represented the tenant, said Libiao Robotics will occupy two units at 330 Roycefield Road with plans to open in April. At that point, the company will showcase its latest innovations while looking to attract industry leaders, foster technological advancements in automation and contribute to the local economic growth by creating new job opportunities.
“Occupiers are consistently optimizing their square footage in a competitive market environment,” Avison Young’s Ed English said. “Given Libiao Robotic’s strategic business objectives and our collaborative relationship, we were able to refine the search process and achieve their customized real estate needs and business goals.”
Claricurzio added: “The specific requirements for Libiao Robotics’ new show center meant that we had very narrow search parameters, but a wide variety of space options to show them.”
English worked alongside the firm’s Ron Ganter and Jake Claricurzio to complete the deal on Libiao’s behalf. The tenant is leasing the space from Bane Realty LLC.
“After deploying over 60,000 robots across 20 countries over the past eight years, this show center marks a critical step for Libiao Robotics in demonstrating our cutting-edge AirRob Bin-to-Person ASRS system to integration partners and end customers,” said Dan Jiang, general manager of North America at Libiao Robotics. “Avison Young’s IOS team helped up to find a facility that will offer an immersive experience, featuring live automation simulations, software interface demonstrations and comprehensive training program.”
