Jeffrey Albanese, a veteran of the gas station and convenience store industry, has joined Bennett Realty & Development as a director, in the latest addition to the Holmdel-based team.
In a news release, the firm said Albanese has more than 40 years of experience in commercial real estate and operations and most recently was a senior real estate manager for QuickChek. He spent 25 years in that role and helped complete more than 90 new gas and convenience store deals in some of the highest-barrier-to-entry markets in the country.
Prior to QuickChek, Albanese was a key team member in the rapid expansion of Krauszer’s convenience stores, where he worked on the operations side of the business, Bennett Realty said. The firm cited his strong negotiation skills and extensive experience appearing before land use boards in New Jersey and New York, where he was intimately involved in the approval process for many ground-up development deals.
“I have known Jeff for over a decade, and he has exemplified the ‘good human first’ approach we have here,” said Tyler Bennett, the firm’s founder and CEO. “His qualifications and experience are unmatched in the gas/convenience store and land development side of the business.”
The Sparta resident has sat on planning, zoning and municipal utility boards in New Jersey and has experience collaborating with property owners, attorneys, engineers, environmental engineers and other professionals driving multiple projects through the approval process.
“I am very excited to join this dynamic group of professionals,” Albanese said. “Tyler and the team have created an atmosphere of collaboration allowing all to be successful in what is an extremely competitive industry.”
