Real estate services firm Berkadia has launched a new office in New Jersey with the recent addition of a multifamily investment sales team based in Morristown.

The group, which joined the company from CBRE, includes Senior Managing Director Nat Gambuzza, senior directors Spencer Beriont and Trevor Fiebel, Director Tim Blashford, Senior Transaction Manager Brian Antognini and Senior Financial Analyst Mike O’Reilly. They report to Keith Misner, an executive vice president with Berkadia and co-head of investment sales, working from the downtown Headquarters Plaza complex.
“We’ve been expanding our presence in the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast significantly over the last 18 months with industry leading hires in Washington, D.C. and Boston,” Misner said. “We are very excited to add Nat and his team to that growing bench. This group is unmatched in experience and expertise in the region and across all client types, which is more crucial than ever as we see an increasingly diverse and aggressive investor pool looking to enter the multifamily space.”
Berkadia announced the new hires late last month, noting that the team consistently ranked among CBRE’s top investment sales groups. They work with a diverse client base including private investors, partnerships, lenders and institutions of varying net worth to provide guidance on complex transactions, including portfolio sales, distressed property sales, note sales and 1031 tax exchange transactions.

Berkadia was formed in 2009 as a joint venture of Berkshire Hathaway and Leucadia National Corp., now Jefferies Financial Group. As head of the firm’s New Jersey multifamily investment sales team, Gambuzza brings more than 20 years of experience in the New Jersey market, having brokered the sale of some 17,000 apartments.
