Seven new eateries and retailers are coming to the sprawling Harmon Meadow complex in Secaucus, in a series of newly announced deals by RIPCO Real Estate.
The users, which combined to lease more than 21,000 square feet, include national restaurant chains such as Cava, Shake Shack and Dave’s Hot Chicken. They will join the tenant roster at the Plaza at Harmon Meadow at the nexus of Route 3 and the New Jersey Turnpike, which serves a vast collection of office buildings, hotels and big-box retailers, along with surrounding residents.
RIPCO, which provides leasing and property management on behalf of The Carlton Group, said the deals are as follows:
- Cava leased 3,000 square feet
- Shake Shack leased 3,200 square feet
- Dave’s Hot Chicken leased 2,205 square feet
- KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot leased 8,870 square feet
- Haute Dolce Crepes leased 963 square feet
- TSAoCAA leased 1,354 square feet
- Minas Jewelry leased 1,799 square feet
RIPCO’s Jake Frantzman and Curtis Nassau represented ownership in the transactions.
“We are pleased to announce seven leases at the Plaza at Harmon Meadow,” Frantzman said. “These tenants include some of the best-in-class food operators joining existing tenants such has Starbucks and Chipotle.”
RIPCO’s Jordan Cohn represented Cava, while the firm’s Jeff Howard and Matt Grundy acted as tenant broker for Shake Shack. Jay Miller and Nicole Nannola of CBRE represented Dave’s Hot Chicken, while William Ray of WRED Realty represented KPOT and Yang Lou of Realmart advised TSAoCAA.
In announcing the deal, RIPCO noted that the Plaza at Harmon Meadow has a daytime population of more than 100,000 and overall population of more than 300,000 within a three-mile radius, not including New York City. The property team is currently developing a new signage program to benefit operators in the plaza’s courtyard and help fill the remaining vacancies at the site.
“The Plaza at Harmon Meadow services some of the busiest box retailers in New Jersey and benefits from strong destination drivers like Kerasotes Theater and the Meadowlands Exposition Center,” Frantzman said. “Easy customer access, strong office occupancy, 1,500 hotel rooms in nine hotels are other elements that make this a top retail site in the greater northern New Jersey market.”
