A food purveyor has signed a full-building, 150,000-square-foot lease at a Carteret industrial property, in a newly announced deal by Bussel Realty Corp.
Brokers with the firm represented the undisclosed tenant in the deal with CenterPoint Properties, the landlord at 1200 Milik St. The site will provide space for the company to expand and service its growing business, BRC said, touting a location near several major highways, Newark Liberty International Airport and Port Newark-Elizabeth.
“The company’s decision to establish a major warehouse here is a testament to the location and other advantages that Carteret affords,” said Jordan Metz, a senior vice president with BRC, who led the assignment for the Edison-based firm.
“Situated less than 15 miles to Port Newark/Elizabeth and boasting immediate access to the New Jersey Turnpike and Routes 1&9, 1200 Milik Street is strategically located for the shipping and logistics needs of modern industrial tenants, with the ability to draw from an abundant local labor pool,” he added. “With space along the New Jersey Turnpike corridor in short supply, we are pleased to have helped our client secure this critical warehouse space for their operations.”
KBC Advisors represented ownership at the property, which has 5,142 square feet of office space, 25-foot ceilings, 13 tailboards, one drive-in door, wet sprinklers, heavy power and 93 surface parking spaces.
