Crunch Fitness has added a location in New Jersey after leasing 32,000 square feet at a Springfield shopping center, brokers with The Goldstein Group said Monday.
The leasing team said the space at 201-225 Morris Ave., just south of Interstate 78, is the former home of a New York Sports Club. Crunch is taking the two-story space at General Green Shopping Center under a deal with Springfield Company LLC, joining tenants such as Gold Valley Supermarket, GNC and others.
The Goldstein Group Vice President Marc Palestina and President Chuck Lanyard represented ownership, while Stephen Picurro from Pierson Commercial represented the New York-based chain.
“We’re excited to replace the former fitness center with another fitness operator,” Palestina said. “Crunch saw an opportunity to convert an old fitness center with a solid infrastructure into a state-of-the-art fitness facility to serve the greater Springfield area.”
Other tenants at General Green Shopping Center include Springfield Bagels, Spring Beauty Spa, Milton’s Liquor and Wines and Magical Scissors Hair Salon.
