Accurate Builders & Developers is nearing completion of a new 276-unit multifamily project just steps from NJ Transit rail service in Somerset County, the firm announced Tuesday.
The developer, which is based in Lakewood, said it will launch leasing this winter at what’s known as Crossings at Raritan Station, a collection of studio, one- and two-bedroom apartments in Raritan Borough. The milestone would come two and a half years after the firm broke ground at 59 Second Ave., seeking to capitalize on its location at the Raritan train station and minutes from Somerville’s popular downtown.
“We are delighted to debut such a well-located community adjacent to the train station and so close to Somerville’s active, walkable downtown,” said Jack Klugmann, Accurate Builders’ CEO and president. “Crossings at Raritan Station embraces a well-connected lifestyle and will provide an exceptional living experience to both existing Somerset County residents and those who are newly discovering this great location.”
Along with upscale apartments, Crossings at Raritan Station will feature amenities and services such as a lobby lounge with coffee bar, a modern fitness center with virtual training technology, Amazon package lockers, private covered parking and 24/7 onsite maintenance, according to a news release. Outdoor spaces will include a lounge area with seating, grilling stations, a fire pit, outdoor games and a meditation garden with hammocks and greenery.
Residents will also benefit from being adjacent to Raritan station, which offers either direct service to Manhattan or transfers to New York via the PATH system at Newark Penn Station. The complex is minutes from downtown Raritan’s main corridor, Somerset Street, and a mile from the collection of restaurants, retailers and cultural offerings in downtown Somerville.
What’s more, the site provides quick access to Somerset County’s major highways and recreational options such as the 1,000-acre Duke Farms estate, along with major employers such as Johnson & Johnson, Bausch & Lomb and LabCorp.
