The developer of a new flex commercial building in Morris Plains has secured its first tenant, inking a 20,000-square-foot lease with a logistics provider for the life sciences industry.
Commercial Realty Group, the landlord at 900 American Road, joined Resource Realty of Northern New Jersey this week to announce the commitment by Cryoport. The tenant, which provides cold chain logistics solutions for biopharmaceutical, IVF and animal health organizations, is relocating to the facility from Livingston.
Resource Realty’s Gregory J. Sabato and Scott Peck represented ownership, while Robert Donnelly Jr. of Cushman & Wakefield represented Cryoport.
“We welcome Cryoport as an ideal first tenant,” Sabato said. “Ownership has created a best-in-class 55,000-square-foot flex facility suitable for a variety of light industrial uses.”
Resource Realty is marketing spaces ranging from 5,000 to 25,000 square feet at 900 American Road. The brokerage firm noted that the site was almost sold to another user before Commercial Realty Group of Parsippany decided to develop the new spec building.
“Marketing a brand-new building elevates the tenant base to high-end users such as pharma, medical, biotech and electronics,” Peck said. “These companies are searching for a great location, functional clean space and access to their target labor base. 900 American is near the vibrant town of Morristown and less than 1 mile from the Morris Plains train station.”
