Urban Edge Properties has added four new tenants to its sprawling Bergen Town Center under a series of leases totaling more than 12,000 square feet.
According to the real estate investment trust, the operators include Bath & Body Works and Crumbl, the fresh-baked cookie chain. Both are now open at the 1 million-square-foot property just south of Route 4 after leasing 4,157 and 2,138 square feet, respectively.
Meantime, daytime dining chain First Watch has taken 4,790 square feet at Bergen Town Center and will serve made-to-order breakfast, brunch and lunch. The fourth new tenant, Tacoria, has committed to 1,654 square feet for its Mexican street food quick-service concept.
Both are slated to open in 2025.
“First Watch, Crumbl and Tacoria are all terrific concepts that fit nicely into our dining mix as we continue to expand the food and beverage options at Bergen Town Center,” said Josh Birns, vice president of leasing for Urban Edge. “We’re also very excited that the much-anticipated Bath & Body Works has opened at the center, in time for the holiday season.”
Taryn Brandes, Emily Green and Alexandra Yanoff of Brand Urban LLC represented Urban Edge in the transactions with Crumbl, First Watch and Tacoria, according to a news release. Amy Staats of Katz & Associates worked on behalf of First Watch, William Cafero of Charter Realty represented Crumbl and Joe Brendel of Newmark represented Tacoria.
Paul Schiffer of Urban Edge, meantime, handled the negotiation with Bath & Body Works.
Bergen Town Center, which straddles Paramus and Maywood, generates more than 11 million visits annually thanks in part to anchors such as Whole Foods, Target and CVS. It’s also home to a mix of outlets and other locations for a host of national operators.
