COLLIERS ADDS
POSTELL TO NEW
JERSEY TEAM
Colliers International hired James Postell, a veteran broker and former leader of Transwestern’s office in the state, as an executive managing director with its New Jersey leasing team.
Postell brings more than 30 years
of industry experience and a focus on agency leasing assignments in
the office and industrial sectors. In announcing the move, Colliers touted his deep experience in repurposing and repositioning high-end office buildings to maximize tenancy and revenue, along with assignments
for major clients such as American Express, International Paper and the former Schering-Plough Corp.
“Jim is one of the most well-respected brokers in New Jersey and has
acted as a trusted adviser to some
of the most notable organizations in the country,” said Dennis Waggner, an executive managing director with Colliers and the firm’s market leader in New Jersey. “He brings to Colliers deep
relationships that he’s cultivated over years building a reputation
as an industry
leader and he
immediately
strengthens our
agency leasing practice, among other business lines, across the state. We’re thrilled to have him on board.”
Postell spent 10 years with Transwestern, most recently serving as a partner and city leader for the firm’s New Jersey office. Notably, he worked opposite Colliers brokers in 2019 when he represented ownership in a 147,000-square-foot, full-building headquarters lease with Celularity, a clinical-stage therapeutics company, in Florham Park.
In addition to his emphasis on agency leasing, he will also focus on tenant representation with Colliers, the
firm said. He is based in the firm’s Parsippany office.
“Colliers has developed a reputation for having some of the most enterprising brokers in the industry as well as an environment that encourages collaboration at all levels,” Postell said. “I’m excited to join this talented team in New Jersey at a time when there is optimism
in the market. As we begin to turn the corner on the pandemic and organizations reevaluate their real estate needs, there will be a lot of business that I’m confident Colliers is poised to win.”
