      LMC ANNOUNCES
PROMOTION OF
PROPERTY MANAGER
Levin Management Corp. has announced the promotion of Denise Ciaravino to the role of portfolio manager.
The North Plainfield-based firm said that Ciaravino,
a longtime
member of
its property management team, has spent the past decade overseeing
the day-to-
day operation
of a roughly 1 million-square-foot shopping center portfolio. In addition, she will now be the single point of contact for a nine-property, 840,000-square-foot management assignment recently awarded to LMC.
Ciaravino joined the firm in 2006 as a property manager and was named senior property manager in 2009.
“Denise is a tremendous asset to our property management team, and we congratulate her on this well-deserved promotion,” said Erika Toscani, vice president of property management with LMC. “It is always gratifying to promote individuals from within our organization. Advancing into this
new role reflects Denise’s hard work, professionalism and dedication, as well as her outstanding contributions to the success of our leasing and management portfolio.”
Ciaravino earned her bachelor’s degree in management science from Kean University and a Real Property Administrator designation from BOMI International.

I am grateful for the opportunity to take on the role of portfolio manager,” Ciaravino said. “The knowledge

NEW PARTNER FOR
EAST REGION TEAM
Robert Borny, an executive with Dermody Properties’ regional team in Morristown, has risen to the role of partner after less than four years with the development and investment firm.
Previously a senior vice president of capital deployment in the east region, Borny joined Dermody in October 2017. The firm noted that he manages land and building acquisitions, build- to-suit projects, development activities and asset management in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Connecticut, New York, Maryland and Virginia.
“In the three and a half years he’s been with Dermody Properties, Rob has sourced more than 1 million square feet of new developments and
to stepping into this role and to what’s next to come for Dermody Properties, our investors and our customers.”
Borny is a member of NAIOP, the Urban Land Institute and the Industrial & Office Real Estate Brokers Association.

JUMANI AS CEO,
EXPANDING ROLE
Tulfra Real Estate President Sonny Jumani is assuming the title of CEO, expanding his leadership role with the Rochelle Park-based development firm.
Lloyd Tulp and Salvatore V. Frassetto, the company’s founders and principals, announced the move in mid-June while noting that they will
serve as co-chairmen. The shift comes 15 years after Jumani joined the firm and seven years after he was named partner and president, a period in which he has grown and managed Tulfra’s 4 million-square-foot portfolio.
“Sonny has led Tulfra Real Estate through a significant company repositioning and transformation, from an industrial real estate developer to the premier specialist in the revitalization of underperforming and underutilized commercial properties,” Tulp said. “Sonny is an indispensable leader, and we at Tulfra are excited for the next chapter, with Sonny in the lead in his new role as president and CEO.”
The firm said that, under Jumani’s leadership, Tulfra has evolved into a more well-rounded organization, with robust resources to tackle complex value-add projects. It will now continue to focus on service retail, multifamily, self-storage and industrial properties as it partners with municipalities to revive their underutilized sites.

Borny came to the Reno, Nevada- based company from HFF, where he was a director who was responsible for sourcing and marketing industrial investment property sales, according to a news release. He became a Certified Commercial Investment Member in October 2011 and has more than a decade of experience in the industrial real estate development and investment industries.
Dermody noted that, in 2020, Borny was named a GlobeSt.com Fifty Under 40 award recipient.
