Markey is a former commercial real
resource for chapter leadership and its membership through training, planning and programing and speaker referrals.
Additionally, they will create opportunities to expand awareness of the corporate real estate profession with diverse student groups through speaking engagements and facilitating internships, while hosting DEI workshops and awareness events.
“I am happy to see tangible steps increasingly being taken to advance diversity, inclusion and equity across the real estate industry,” Hurlbut said. “However, much work remains to be done to ensure the real estate industry can truly be a place for everyone. I am looking forward to working with CoreNet Global New Jersey’s DEI committee to help to create a more inclusive, equitable and diverse real estate community in the years to come.”
CoreNet Global represents nearly 10,000 members in 50 countries with strategic responsibility for the real estate assets of large corporations, according to a news release.
“Although Kris is a relatively new member to our New Jersey chapter and our board, she has already
made a significant impact here,”
said Mary Beth Sullivan, a regional vice president with Teknion and president of CoreNet Global New Jersey chapter. “Kris is a true thought leader, promoting important change in her work leading our dynamic
DEI committee. And she doesn’t stop there. She is also extremely supportive of all chapter activities. Whether the event is a women’s group, community outreach, special event or membership networking, you see Kris’ smiling face in the pictures shared on social media. We are fortunate to have someone of her commitment and passion as part of our leadership team. I have no doubt
she will play a major role in CoreNet New Jersey’s growth and future success.”
Steven Denholtz, CEO of the Red Bank-based development and investment firm, added: “We have always been proud to prioritize diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our work at Denholtz Properties and Kris’ leadership in these efforts has been invaluable throughout her career with us. We know she will be a tremendous asset as CoreNet Global New Jersey continues to increase diversity, inclusion and equity across the industry and we look forward to continuing to support all of her work in this important endeavor.”
