LANGAN
MAKES THREE
PROMOTIONS IN
PARSIPPANY
Three members of Langan’s Parsippany-based team are among two dozen to be promoted recently by the engineering and environmental services firm.
They include Eric Vervoordt, who was elevated to the role of senior associate. He is
also the firm’s
chief operations officer, collaborating with Langan’s CEO and senior executives
to implement
business
strategies and optimize operational capabilities.
“Eric Vervoordt is a proven
asset to a firm’s operational and financial success, demonstrated through his ability to leverage data-driven analytics that identify and capitalize on emerging opportunities,” according to his bio, which adds: “Throughout
his career, he has facilitated the development of financial strategies to enhance competitive market positioning, increase market share and improve overall profitability for top firms.”
Additionally, Langan has promoted Amanda Forsburg to associate, noting that she manages complex
environmental investigations and remediations at large-
scale urban redevelopment sites throughout New York.
That includes the award-winning 365 Bond St. project near the Gowanus Canal
in Brooklyn, where she guided developers through city and state environmental regulatory programs to achieve remediation goals.
“She regularly leads multidisciplinary coordination
and collaboration across multiple Langan teams and offices,” the firm wrote, noting that she is actively engaged with several industry organizations and serves as co-chair of the Women’s Leadership Initiative for the Urban Land Institute of Northern New Jersey.
Also rising to associate is Craig Napolitano,
who has
spent the last
three decades specializing in nationwide industrial hygiene
Townes joined Cushman in 2017, serving as a senior director of retail brokerage in New Jersey and handling representation assignments for both landlords and tenants, the news release said. His experience also includes site selection, letter of intent negotiation, office leasing and full- service commercial transaction management.
Prior to Cushman, he was a
retail leasing specialist with
RIPCO Real Estate and, before
that, Welco Realty Inc., having developed expertise in retail landlord representation, working
on mixed-use, central business district properties, freestanding retail, shopping centers and other asset classes. His clients include institutional owners such as
Urban Edge Properties, Columbia Property Trust and Spear Street Capital, while he represents tenants including Planet Fitness, Phenix Salon Suites, Krispy Kreme, Goldfish Swim School and Sport Clips.

TOWNES, FRIED-
MAN JOIN JLL
JLL has added veteran brokers David Townes and Alana Friedman to help bolster and lead its New Jersey retail team.
In a news release, the firm said Townes and
Friedman have
joined its ranks
as a managing
director and a
vice president,
respectively.
The longtime
partners, who
were previously
with Cushman & Wakefield, will now be based in Parsippany as they look to further strengthen JLL’s platform in the market.
“David’s deep understanding of
the retail brokerage industry and specific expertise in the New Jersey market make him an exceptional addition to lead the JLL retail team,” said Tim Greiner, who leads JLL’s

New Jersey brokerage business.

CONSTRUCTION
TEAM ADDS TWO
Woodmont Properties has welcomed Thomas Anderson as senior project manager and Ryan Doyle as project manager, adding to its construction team as it moves ahead with new developments.
The firm, which is based in Fairfield, said Anderson and Doyle will
oversee the construction of several multifamily projects, including a planned 300-unit development on Federal City Road in Hopewell, known as Woodmont Forge just south of Interstate 295.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Thomas and Ryan to the Woodmont family as we continue to expand our multifamily portfolio in 2023,” Woodmont CEO Eric Witmondt said. “Each professional possesses a novel skillset and wealth of industry knowledge, and we are confident that they will directly contribute

Doyle, for his part, spent the
last seven years as a residential construction manager, working
on multifamily and single-family home projects, the news release said. His involvement and team mentorship were instrumental in several initiatives, including the construction of 14 model homes and nine communities spanning multiple municipalities.
Before entering the homebuilding industry, Doyle served five years of active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps as a helicopter mechanic, the news release said. He holds a degree from Penn State University.

clients are converging more than ever before,” said Naveen Jaggi, president of JLL’s retail team.
Friedman is a former director at C&W and previously was a retail broker with RKF in Rutherford, having launched her retail real estate career with The Goldstein Group, the news release said.
She has worked with a range of landlords, from independent local owners to large institutions on projects ranging from mixed-use developments to ground leases, as well as national and regional retailers.
