A graduate of Rutgers University- New Brunswick, Mackowski has a bachelor’s in business economics and launched his commercial real estate career as a research associate and economist at the Real Estate Board of New York, the news release said. He holds a New Jersey real estate salesperson license, is a member
of ICSC and has earned several commercial real estate distinctions.

WELCOMES MIRMAN
AS EXECUTIVE V.P.
Matthew Mirman has joined Value Cos. as an executive vice president, with a focus on business development and strategic planning for the Clifton- based apartment owner.
According to a news release, Mirman’s role initially will center on expanding the firm’s third-party multifamily management affiliate, Value Asset Management, after its recent entrance to the Connecticut market. He will also be actively involved in the strategic expansion of Value Cos.’ existing multifamily property portfolio.
Before joining the firm, Mirman was a senior vice
president with OddsChecker Global Media, spearheading the international i-gaming affiliate’s presence
in the U.S. market. He also was a key part of
the management team that helped to successfully sell the business to a private equity firm.
“Matt is a seasoned executive who knows how to provide innovative and practical solutions to any challenging situation,” Value Cos. CEO and President Andrew Abramson said. “He’s equally talented at leading go- to-market strategies for new ventures as he is at strengthening established operations.
“This, along with his natural skills in engaging the communities around him, make him a great fit for our established, yet continually growing, portfolio.”
Mirman has 15 years of experience in the advertising technology industry, the news release said. Much of
his career has focused on leading revenue operations, garnering partnerships and bringing products to new markets.
Value noted that Mirman is a member of the Cure Breast Cancer Foundation’s junior board of trustees and a graduate of University at Buffalo.
CORTESE JOINS
STRUCTURE TONE
NEW JERSEY TEAM
Structure Tone has hired Michael Cortese as a senior project manager with its New Jersey team.
According to a news release,
Cortese brings more than 27 years
of construction experience on major complex projects throughout the greater New York City area, with specialization in aviation. To that end, he has led several efforts at Newark
Liberty International Airport for clients including United, Delta and SAS Airlines.
In his new role at Structure Tone, Cortese will provide lead project management
services for

company’s
largest, most
complex
projects, the
news release
said. His
responsibilities
include building and nurturing client relationships, managing on-site staff and mentoring and developing team members.
“Mike is a seasoned construction professional who brings creative solutions to his clients, partners and project teams,” said Michael Farrell, Structure Tone’s regional vice president. “We’re excited to have his guidance and leadership on our projects and look forward to expanding more into the aviation sector.”
Cortese has a bachelor’s in civil and environmental engineering and a master’s in civil engineering from Rutgers University. RE
