PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Dynamic provided site engineering
services for the Orange Memorial
Hospital site. The 10-acre historic
site has been abandoned for nearly
two decades and is located in an
area that has been identifi ed for
redevelopment efforts to revitalize
the neighborhood.
In November, the planning
board approved the $350 million
construction of a new mixed-use
development which is slated to
start this coming year. The new
development will include 1,000+
residential units (up to 20 percent
of which will be affordable housing
units), 70,000+ square feet of
commercial and retail space and
a restaurant with outdoor seating.
The community will benefi t from a
new public plaza with an open lawn,
benches and children’s play areas.
In addition to the new construction,
two historical buildings, the Mary
Austin Hall and the Old Boiler
House, will be restored. Mary Austin
Hall will be used for the new City
Hall and the Boiler House will be
repurposed as a restaurant.
