OUR CLIENTS
Menlo Engineering’s (MEA) client
base spans a broad spectrum —
from large industrial developers
to individual residential property
owners. We proudly offer our
design services to both the
private and public sectors. Our
portfolio encompasses mixed-
use developments, large-scale
and individual retail commercial
projects, industrial properties, multi-
and single-family developments,
religious facilities, schools, municipal
road improvement projects and
recreational development.
PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
Rutgers Preparatory School, one
of the state’s premier K-12 private
education schools, has a bucolic lo-
cation along the banks of the Raritan
River and the Delaware and Raritan
Canal in Franklin Township, Som-
erset County. Menlo Engineering’s
relationship with the school extends
over three decades. We have been
involved with many of the campus
improvement projects, including
multiple building expansions, circula-
tion improvements and sports facili-
ties. MEA collaborated with multiple
professionals and school administra-
tors to bring the projects to com-
pletion while developing a campus
that functions and provides a tranquil
learning environment.
The school is further expanding
its instructional and educational
experiences with the construction
of a two-story, 14,520-square-
foot multipurpose performing
arts building addition. The project
includes an outdoor classroom
and seating and student gathering
spaces, creating a new campus
focal point. Similar to previous
campus projects, the performing
ON THE HORIZON
The regional demand for
housing through mixed-use
redevelopment continues
to expand. The desire for
walkable communities and more
urban settings is increasingly
appealing to the younger
generation. These settings lead
to less demand for cars but an
increasing demand for home
product delivery, which, in turn,
becomes an additional driving
force for logistic centers and
general warehousing space.

CREATIVE SOLUTION
Menlo Engineering recently com-
pleted design services for an
industrial client’s redevelopment
of a vacant manufacturing facility.
The project’s stormwater manage-
ment program included multiple
bioretention basins, as well as a
constructed wetland along with
stormwater wet ponds requiring
extensive New Jersey Department
of Environmental Protection Flood
Hazard Area and Freshwater Wet-
land permits. The 655,000-square-
foot (+/-) logistics center went
from concept to certifi cate of
occupancy in less than four years.
