PROJECT SPOTLIGHT
EWMA was retained to support a construction project
at a site located in Northern NJ and address odor issues on site that were affecting the surrounding community. EWMA’s engineers integrated and worked closely with the site management team in order to design and manage the installation of a vapor mitigation system during the renovations of the on-site structure. Further, EWMA’s engineers consulted with the construction team during renovations to ensure that the project did not exacerbate the odor issues already on site.
Prior to construction, EWMA conducted a pilot test
to evaluate sub-slab soil conditions, and used the test data to design an active system to mitigate potentially harmful vapors from exiting the building. The system
is equipped with a cloud-based monitoring system that allows us to manage and access the system remotely
and it is also capable of sending alerts and alarm notifications to mobile devices, offering our clients
an advantage in management of the vapor mitigation system. We are currently engaged at the site performing monitoring and oversight of the odor control system and providing engineering consulting services on an ongoing basis.
