A crepe restaurant has taken nearly 1,900 square feet at a grocery-anchored shopping center in Middlesex Borough, in a newly announced deal by CBRE.
According to the brokerage team, the location at 700 Union Ave. will be Crêpes Du Nord’s third in New Jersey. The operator will use the space at Middlesex Plaza to serve cooked-to-order traditional French and Scandinavian crêpes to Middlesex, working with area farmers to use local, organic and sustainable ingredients whenever possible.
CBRE’s Marta Person Villa represented the landlord, Main Land Middlesex LLC, in the 1,862 square-foot deal. The business comes to the 80,000-square-foot shopping center, which sits along Route 28 between Dunellen and Bound Brook, alongside anchor tenants including Superfood Supermarket, Dollar Tree and Farmer’s Market, plus several in-line tenants.
“We are thrilled to have completed this newest lease at Middlesex Plaza, which now brings the shopping center to full occupancy,” Person Villa said. “Home to a popular Farmer’s Market and fresh seafood outlet, Middlesex Plaza was a natural fit for Crêpes Du Nord, which strives to work with local farmers in New York and New Jersey to get the freshest and most sustainable ingredients for their crepes, including locally sourced fruit, berries, vegetables, eggs and meats.”
