Gensler has added a new co-director to its Morristown-based retail studio.
The global design firm on Monday said Meena Krishnan, who has more than two decades of industry experience, oversees guidelines management, prototype design and roll-out while supporting retail banks with their global branch strategies. She now leads the Morristown office’s retail practice alongside Michael Tully, also a co-director.
“Our retail studio offers design expertise for large commercial retail projects with a special emphasis on retail banking for nationwide clients while also catering to the mom-and-pop retailers that anchor New Jersey’s communities,” Krishnan said.
The Morristown-based retail team launched in 1993 when Gensler established a presence in New Jersey, according to a news release. Today, the studio leads the firm in retail banking design, while Krishnan’s clients include the likes of Primark, Mikimoto and five of the largest United States consumer banks.
Some of the firm’s recent projects showcase the way retailers are finding new ways to adapt to evolving customer demands, Gensler said, including retail inclusive design, retail banking flagship locations and high-end banking coffee cafes.
