McDonald’s has found a new home in the Somerset section of Franklin after leasing a site that once housed a rival chain, brokers with The Goldstein Group announced Monday.
According to a news release, the fast food giant will occupy 4,500 square feet at the Rutgers Plaza Shopping Center on Easton Avenue, with plans calling for a 62-seat restaurant and two side-by-side, 24-hour drive-thrus. The pad site, which previously housed a Burger King location, is allowing McDonald’s to relocate an existing restaurant in the market.
The Goldstein Group Chuck President Chuck Lanyard and Vice President Marc Palestina represented the tenant, which will now operate in a supermarket-anchored center on one of the township’s main corridors. Sid Singer represented the owner, Levin Properties LP.
