The business coalition known as Circulate NJ has welcomed another member, announcing the addition of powerhouse law firm Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis LLP.
Based in Woodbridge, the practice joins more than 40 companies and other entities that are working to promote the economic impact of the state’s vast logistics sector, following the organization’s launch last fall. And it comes with some of the state’s most experienced and respected real estate and land use attorneys, along with strong connections to the industry and the business community at large.
Other Circulate NJ members include developers, port workers, trucking companies and trade associations.
“If you are looking for knowledge regarding the legal issues associated with New Jersey’s logistics industry, the team at Greenbaum, Rowe, Smith & Davis has seen it all,” said David Greek, chair of Circulate NJ and managing partner of Greek Real Estate Partners. “Their work on behalf of clients has helped showcase what logistics means to the state. This is especially true in the area of brownfield remediation, where the logistics industry continues to be a leader. We greatly appreciate their support in joining Circulate NJ.”
Founded in 1914, Greenbaum currently has some 100 attorneys practicing in three New Jersey locations, according to a news release. Its primary areas of expertise include real estate, redevelopment and land use and environmental issues, including a strong reputation for overseeing significant projects involving contaminated site remediation and brownfield cleanups.
Many of the firm’s attorneys hold leadership positions in business and legal industry groups. That includes serving as officers, board members and trustees of groups such as NAIOP New Jersey, Downtown New Jersey, the New Jersey Builders Association, New Jersey Future, the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce and New Jersey State Bar Association sections focused on real estate, land use, environmental, construction and business law.
“We are proud of Greenbaum’s long, established history in New Jersey, particularly our work in the commercial real estate, land use and environmental sectors,” said Jack Fersko, co-chair of the firm’s real estate department. “The logistics industry plays a key role in our state’s success, and we’ve been fortunate to partner with many of the industry’s leading companies and organizations on projects that have had a significant positive impact on the lives of New Jersey residents. Working together through Circulate NJ, we look forward to better informing those residents about the countless benefits the logistics industry brings into play.”
Circulate NJ noted that New Jersey’s transportation, logistics and distribution industry:
