GZA GeoEnvironmental Inc. has bolstered its team in the region with a veteran environmental planner and project manager.

The firm, which has offices in Fairfield and Manhattan, said Christina Szczepanski joins its team as a senior planning consultant. Her arrival follows a career that spans other engineering and planning firms, where she spearheaded major studies and analyses for energy, transportation and government clients.
“We are excited to have Christina join our team, as she is one of the most experienced environmental planners in New York City, with over 20 years’ stewarding clients’ land development projects through complex city, state and federal environmental processes,” said Kevin Williams, GZA associate principal and planning practice chair. “Her technical acumen will help us to better serve our clients throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.”
Szczepanski’s work has included New York City and New York State Environmental Quality Review statements, National Environmental Policy Act environmental assessments and critical issues assessments, according to a news release. She will be based in GZA’s Manhattan and Fairfield offices.
The firm added that Szczepanski has dual bachelors’ degrees in environmental studies and geography, with a concentration in urban planning, from Binghamton University and a master’s in urban planning from Columbia University. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners and of the American Planning Association.
