Business leaders in downtown Hackensack have launched a new website aimed at promoting efforts to revitalize the commercial district.
According to the Main Street Business Alliance, the revamped www.DowntownHackensack.org provides a dedicated, bilingual platform that caters to current residents, business owners and those who may move to or look to do business in the city. That includes highlighting the pulse, attractions and events of the district but also serving as an informational portal.
The site is available in both English and Spanish and includes accessibility tools for the visually impaired, according to a news release.
“The new site is the first step toward a more robust, easy-to-navigate platform for current residents and business owners as well as those people who want to come here to visit, live or open a business,” said John T. Peters, executive director of the Main Street Business Alliance. “Our goal with this new site is simple: offer timely, enriching, valuable content for everyone interested in downtown Hackensack. If we continue to do this in concert with the city of Hackensack and all our strategic partners, we’ll be able to sculpt the future of downtown Hackensack, ensuring it remains a hub of prosperity, community and unparalleled experiences.”
The organization noted that visitors to the site will find detailed sections for their specific needs, from those looking to eat or host an event to those looking to shop in the downtown. The website is also embedded with information on historical landmarks, parking locations and event experiences that uniquely define the district.
Resources specific to business owners guide them to available commercial properties and Storefront Improvement Grants that enable businesses to upgrade and beautify their storefronts.
